Collecting the City Workshop

  • Mymuseum 30 Dohány utca Budapest, 1074 Hungary (map)

Through this workshop we will approach photography as a way to reconnect with the city and to develop a body of work based on the concepts of series and repetition.

Remember that everything around us can tell a story about the city: the colours, the textures, the smells... but also the shop signs, the benches in the street, or even the food packaging!

Practical info:

- the workshop will be in English
- the workshop is theme-based, not about technical tips of photography
- bring the camera you are comfortable to work with, it may also be a phone's camera if this is what you usually use
- theme: collecting the city, find the archeological value of everyday objects and use the tool of repetition to tell a story, context: the past and present of the surrounding area of the gallery, the 7th district

>> At the end of the workshop the participants' photos will be displayed in a digital frame in the gallery, as a collective project and will be exhibited as part of the current show

>> Register via ttunde@mymuseum.co, have a walk in the 7th ditrict and in your email tell us what element of the city you may want to use as inspiration
