Grief Party: Reclaiming Time, Space and Rituals.

(2021- ongoing)

Ritual Design as a Collaborative Art Practice

In the present moment, many people are grieving simultaneously. However, modern western society has turned grief into a very isolating and even shameful experience, depriving us all from the necessary time, space and rituals to share and process.

During the session, we will focus on artistic and community care practices around mourning by reimagining new rituals and symbols that, following ecofeminism theories, can help us put life back in the center.

With a highly collaborative approach, this workshop poses the following questions, among others:
. Which symbols and rituals can actually serve us?
· Which kind of both physical and online spaces can we co-create in order to share and heal together?
· How can creativity serve ritual and community practices?
· How can we expand the idea of ritual making into an art practice?

This workshop can be facilitated both online and in person.
